PEM Motion is an engineering, consulting, and training service provider focusing on batteries and e-motors as well as on the industrialization of mobility products. PEM Motion is shaping the mobility of tomorrow, today. The company was founded in 2014 as a spin-off of the chair for “Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components” (PEM) at the RWTH Aachen University by Prof. Achim Kampker and Dr. Christoph Deutskens. PEM Motion has established offices across Europe and North America in four locations and two joint ventures with more than 70 employees globally. As a consulting, training and engineering service provider, PEM Motion accompanies clients from the first concept through series production. By providing a pragmatic and holistic approach, PEM Motion excels in the development and deployment of smart technologies. The activities range from product development, process design, and industrialization of electromobility components such as battery cells and electric motors to projects developing infrastructure, market analysis, and ecosystem management. The battery, and in particular the battery cell, plays a central role in this and is the focus of many activities in development, production planning and industrialization projects. PEM Motion has worked with various clients including automotive manufacturers, non-profits, suppliers, and start-ups across the world to realize future mobility solutions.
