Project Manager (m/f/d)

UniverCell produces electrodes and cells based on lithium-ion technology for batteries in Germany. With everything we do, we make sustainable energy usable and develop highest-quality energy storage systems with innovative technology and maximum performance. Our products are used in aerospace, medical products and other areas where the highest quality and performance are required.

• Independent planning, coordination, and management of customer projects across all project phases, including the definition of milestones, work packages, and project timelines
• Acting as the central interface between sales, development, production, and logistics to ensure smooth project execution
• Technical evaluation of customer requirements regarding feasibility, cell design, and process compatibility in close collaboration with development teams
• Supporting sales activities through the technical and commercial evaluation of customer requests, preparation of quotations, and participation in customer discussions
• Independent communication with customers regarding project status, technical inquiries, and delivery schedules
• Monitoring project budgets, timelines, and quality targets, including reporting and early escalation in case of deviations
• Analysis and interpretation of production and cell data to support data-driven decision-making and the continuous improvement of internal project management processes and tools

• Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in technical project management, ideally within a manufacturing environment in the battery, chemical, or related industry
• Strong technical understanding, preferably in battery cell technology, including electrode manufacturing, cell assembly, and electrochemical characterization
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and convincingly to customers as well as internal stakeholders
• Experience working with sales teams and customers, combined with a good understanding of technical and commercial aspects
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style with strong communication skills across departments
• Proficiency in common project management tools as well as fluent German and English language skills and willingness to travel for customer meetings, conferences, and trade fairs
